Still not typical...

5.8 pounds in 6 days.

This countin' calories thing ain't so bad.

The only real change I've made is not drinking three or four beers each night and not snacking from 7 p.m. till bedtime.  Which, I realize now, is a huge change in calorie intake, but cutting that stuff out hasn't been difficult.  I'm holding myself accountable for my choices; I know that I could have that treat, but I'll have to accept the consequences.

Not measuring my inches till tomorrow.  I hope they've shrunk.

Meanwhile, we're going to the Kentucky State Fair today - which means I'm probably going to blow my wad calorie-wise, but I'll walk my ass off, so maybe it'll sorta almost be okay.

  1. Are you drinking lots of water? Make sure to stay hydrated so you are sure that you aren't just losing water weight. Good work and keep it up! You can do it!

  2. I love my beer. LOVVVVE my beer. But it's definitely a huge inhibitor to losing weight (plus those cals seem to sit directly in my belly fat *sigh*). Good for you for cutting it out for now - it will help immensely in your goals to getting into that dress for the wedding!

    Enjoy some food at the fair, but just try to keep it in moderation (eat half the deep fried whatever and give Jimi the rest *grin*).

  6. I'm drinking SO much water! Like, 8 to 12 18 oz glasses a day. It's all I drink, other than some milk every now and then. Whatever's falling off, it's not water weight.

  7. Congrats! My university roommate lost 10 pounds in two weeks once just by cutting out Coke (the drink, not the drug). Drinking your calories is a good way to really pack it on - on the flip side it seems to be easier to cut back on non-water beverages than food.
